It is time for those of us living in the rural Appalachian region to become even more aware of the things that determine our health. Many things of concern are beyond the reach of medical doctors, nurses, and other health professionals. Here are two examples. First, the Farm Bill and Public Health are areas of great concern to our nation's people. Access to healthy food is important. Take some time to learn more about the related issues. Second, healthy lifestyles are important for us all, but especially important when we think about the lives of our children and grandchildren. Follow Me is a website where you can learn more about the importance of healthy lifestyles and leading by example. LEAD stands for lifestyle, education, activity and diet. Check out the resources on this website.
