What Is the Educator Manual?
The Diabetes Educator Manual provides information for educators, nurses, health professionals or others about the Diabetes: A Family Matter program. This manual can be downloaded and freely used. It is intended for serve as a guide for setting up a local Diabetes: A Family Matter program and preparing volunteer SUGAR Helpers. SUGAR stands for Support to Unite Generations in the Appalachian Region. This program aims at getting local people to work together and address health promotion and diabetes prevention. This manual should be used along with the toolkit materials and activities.
